🌿 Corridor Project
- between the wild, the domesticated and the human 🐾👤
During the Open House at the Rosino Organic Farm, a professional graffiti artist will transform an underpass into a symbolic migration corridor - a meeting place between the wild, the domesticated, and the human.
🎨 The two walls of the underpass will depict the world of domestic 🐄 and wild animals 🦌, and man remains at the center - as a contemplative, cohabitant and responsible mediator.
🌍 The project is both an art installation and an ecological message about the need for real migration corridors for animals, shared territories and sustainable coexistence between people and nature.
Idea
"Corridor" uses graffiti art to transform an underpass into a symbolic migration route and to remind us that humans are not above nature, but part of it. The project focuses on the need for sustainable coexistence between the wild, the domesticated, and humans, and shows that even a small space, such as an underpass, can become a bridge to more connected thinking and conscious behavior.
Location
The underpass is located near the organic farm "Rozino", and the area has great ecological importance - it is a biosphere buffer zone between the Stara Planina and Sredna Gora Mountains, part of the European Natura 2000 network. This is a territory of a natural migration route, vital for the movement of wild animals and the distribution of plant species.
Man - in the middle of the connection
The art in the underpass is a visual bridge between man and other forms of life, reminding us that man is not above nature, but is part of its fragile system.
On the left side are painted domestic animals - cows, goats, sheep and others, a symbol of millennial mutual care and responsibility, and on the right side is the world of wild animals - deer, wolves, bears, which embody otherness and the need for respect for their territories and rhythms.
Man is a mediator between the wild and the domesticated, responsible for a balance between care and freedom, use and conservation. His passage through the underpass reminds us that man is part of the ecosystem and has the power to both preserve and destroy it.
The art speaks of the vulnerable connections between species and calls on human consciousness to move from dominance to understanding and empathy.
Road awareness - the first step towards sustainable coexistence
Road accidents with wild and domestic animals in Bulgaria are a common occurrence and often end in serious injuries or death for the animals, as well as damage to cars and a risk to human life. The reason is rarely in the animals themselves - these are living beings that simply follow their instincts and ancient migration routes, without recognizing the danger of passing traffic. Such cases clearly show that human intervention and infrastructure projects are often not in harmony with natural habitats and lead to the fragmentation of natural territories.
With our art project “Corridor” we want to raise a dialogue about creating real ecological corridors. For us, this is an urgent and necessary measure that will reduce the possibilities for collisions between people and wildlife and ensure safety in the long term.
Until then, we would like to remind you that driving with increased caution outside urban areas is not an act of restriction, but of consideration for the reality that we share territory with many other life forms. Every animal that crosses the road is not a trespasser, but a natural inhabitant of the region.
The Corridor Project sends a message that sustainable coexistence between humans and animals begins with a change in behavior - with attention, care and responsibility in our daily actions, including on the road.
